"The Nazis victimized some people for what they did, some for what they refused to do, some for what they were, and some for the fact that they were."
-John Conway
This is what the Nazis did. The Jews were a different group of people and Hitler made sure that they were hated for what they did, what they didn't do, what they were, and for the fact that they just were. This quote is truthful in every sense of that word. It saws exactly why the Jews were hated and what people thought was wrong with them.
The Jews were targeted just because of the fact that they were "different" that they weren't the same as everyone else. Hitler and the Nazis were discriminating against individuality. The Jews weren't aloud to be who they were.
The Nazis hated what the Jews did. They hated what the Jews wouldn't do. They hated them because they were Jews. And they hated them just because they were alive. It wasn't just the Jews though, it was many other groups of people but there were more Jews than the others because they were a larger group of people.
Genocide is just a type of bullying that was taken too far. They were just picking on the people that were smaller than them just because they could and because they were bigger. The Holocaust is probably one of the most memorable genocides ever committed but there are many more. There are many more because no one has stopped it. There is genocide today that we need to stop. Now.

"We can make a difference. We can save lives. We can stop the genocide."
-Kendrick Meek
This quote is full of truth. This quote is how everyone should think, if we all thought this way then we could put an end to genocide. Genocide is around today because everyone tolerates it. We do not need to tolerate it. Genocide is murder, we don't tolerate murder so why do we tolerate genocide? Why haven't we taken action to stop it?
We can in fact make a difference, all it takes is a few people. We just all have to stand together. We can save lives, we just have to try. We can stop genocide if we all work together and if we all want to. It just takes a few people. We need to be the generation that stops genocide and makes a difference.

Hello, welcome to our blog! This is our first post and we didn't really know what to post here so we figured it'd be safe to just do an introduction. We are obviously the Chase Upstanders and yes, we are against genocide. We are part of the STAND organization. We are one of the three middle schools that have a STAND chapter in the U.S. It's mainly a group that is in high schools and colleges.
We are trying to empower our young people to take action to change the world. If our youth tries to stop genocide then it can be stopped. It just takes effort to change something. The world is in your hands, you just have to figure out what you want to do with it.
The definition of genocide is the deliberate killing of a large group of people by the government, especially those of a specific ethnic group or nation. Genocide can be classified as a type of suicide. You're killing yourself when genocide is committed. It hurts you, not only the people that you hurt. It kills everything about you that makes you who you are. It's a crime so you will be put in jail for it. It hurts you too.
Genocide is something that needs to cease in this world. It will hurt the world in a way that cannot be repaired if it continues. If we all give a little effort to help the cause then we can defeat genocide. This is what the Chase Upstanders stand for. We stand for all the people who have been affected by genocide. We stand for defeating genocide. We stand for peace.
